I have been waiting for 2 months to decide how to start this blog. My children have questioned me numerous times about 'when are you going to start the blog, Mom?"...so here goes.
My name is Deidre Buzbee, married to my best friend, Jay for almost 18 years. We have 4 blessings: Abby (15), Aaron (12), Emma Grace (8), and Sean (almost 5). We have homeschooled our children from the beginning and spend our days learning....well just about everything that comes across our path. We try to live simply and frugally. My husband is a preaching elder at a small Reformed Baptist congregation. Our church family is incredibly special to us. My children have varied interested....and we have a good time living and learning.
We live in the small city of Covington in southeast Louisiana....very close to the culture rich New Orleans. Although we live in the city, we are country people at heart. We have a dream of creating an urban homestead here on our small plot in town. Join us on our journey to learn how the simple things in life bring the most joy...how nothing is as therapeutic for stress as digging in the dirt...nothing smells like clothes and bedding dried outside on a clothes line...and, that after its all said and done..there truly is no place like home....until we get our heavenly one.
